Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends…and Happy March 1–spring is almost here! I always look forward to the spring/summer when I can go running on the beach, drive with the windows rolled down, drink ice-blended mochas, and dig all of the sandals, shorts and sundresses out of my closet. Spring always feels like a fresh start and it’s a great time to give your fitness and eating routine a fresh start too. Here are a few fresh, unique favorites that inspired me this week…

Favorite Fresh Dish:

shrimp salad
Shrimp salad! When I get home from the gym, it’s pretty late at night and I’m usually craving something that’s fresh, nutritious and quick. This salad took me about five minutes to throw together and it tasted AMAZING!

Favorite Fitspiration:

This girl is incredible! Not only can she hold her breath for six minutes, she also swims with sharks. And she’s a Hawaiian model. One of my favorite spring/summer and vacation activities is swimming and snorkeling. I saw a small reef shark in Hawaii once, but I’ve never gotten this close to a great white. I’ll leave that one up to Ocean Ramsey for now – I’m convinced she’s part mermaid. :)

Favorite Piece of Paradise:

ballast key, florida keys, buy a florida key

If you really want to kick off spring right, you can buy one of the Florida Keys and relax in the sunshine on your own private island…for $15.8 million. I’ll be saving for that one for a while–but, until then, a girl can dream, can’t she? :)

What are you looking forward to the most this spring?

Hope you have a fabulous Friday!

I love love LOVE the look of that salad! I love it when food that’s tasty and good for you can be beautiful, too. Have a great weekend – and will be running with you virtually tomorrow! :) KC

Thanks, KC! The great thing is that it was really easy to make too! I’m trying to incorporate more color into my food – I really think food can be a work of art! :) And THANK YOU for ‘running’ with me tomorrow–I so appreciate it!
